A vacancy has arisen for a Logistic Support Specialist who will report to the JCB ILS Manager. His/her duties will be to be to interpret requirements of military customers, develop the required Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) plans and manage the Logistical Support Analysis (LSA) data gathered during the design and in-service phases. The necessary support data will be complied from a number of business areas within the company which will be co-ordinated between the customer and the internal business areas. Key responsibilities are:
JOB PURPOSE; The main area of responsibility will be to develop the necessary plans in accordance with the relevant standards and co-ordinate the required effort.
PROFILE; The individual has worked within the construction equipment industry in the design, production or service management areas; An effective individual with the ability to manage a number of conflicting priorities An understanding of project planning involving varied departments. Able to process data, maintain analysis and the project plan. An understanding of engineering (engine, electrics, hydraulics, brakes) Ability to read and explain schematics (as detailed above) Confident individual with clear communications skills QUALIFICATIONS; Education to degree level or equivalent Conversant with MS Project. Practical project experience Good communications skills, ideally English to advanced level Some European language capability would be an asset (French, German, and Spanish) May have experience as a Products service or in production engineering. |
